Taking the dog for a walk – things to know
“Dog poop bins” in Jokioinen are located at:
The intersection of Keskuskatu and Ruokosuontie
The intersection of Kouluntie and Paronintie
The intersection of Keskuskatu and Seppäinmäentie
The intersection of Kehätie and Ruokosuontie
This point onwards we will only increase the amount of normal garbage bins. Dog poops can be dropped into normal bins that were installed by the municipality (the green bins by the corner of the streets and parks). Within our resources, we aim to empty the garbage bins more frequently even during the wintertime.
Hopefully the dog owners of the area drop their dogs fecies into these bins. Without picking up the poops, it can hinder the enjoyment of other people, especially non-dog owners.
The law of order 14§ adjusts having dogs on a leash in populated areas. The law partly affects cats as well.
The owner or caretaker of the cat must make sure that the cat doesn’t get into children’s playgrounds on a reserved area.
A dog must be put on a leash in a populated area but the law does not affect cats. The police supervises the law of order.
